Navajo Technology Services started as an idea in 2012. After noticing the Navajo Nation Government and clients were lagging in technology, an idea was born. How can I help my Navajo People? Slow Computers, outdated equipment "dinosaurs they call em, but I refer to them as fossils", Lack of Databases, long trips and over priced IT equipment. I quickly realized all the current vendors were all non Navajo and a few hours drive away. 

 

In 2019 I entered the Navajo Business Competition at the Navajo Nation Economic Summit. I took first place and realized my dream could become a reality. 

I quit my job and took out my 401K of $31,667.42 & turned my dream into reality. Navajo Technology Services, LLC was established in June 2019. The first year was tough, COVID hit.  I had no internet at home or phone service in Ft Defiance. I sat outside McDonald's in Window Rock for hours and eventually Pearl with NNTU let me park behind her office to use the WiFi. Customer Interactions were minimal, but I stayed available through emails and phone calls. 

 

Some friends like Stephen Armijo, & Teresa Hopkins, guided me and encouraged me. Customers like Navajo DOT Evans Bennallie, IT Manager, and Pearl Lee, Navajo Telecommunication Director took a chance and hired me to do some small IT jobs. Enough to establish some capital and establish customer relationships and credentials. There were many others, for whom I am thankful for.

On my Birthday August 2020, in the heat of the COVID Pandemic, the Navajo Dept. of Health Command Center called me after 8:00PM. They were frantic as they had to spend some funds before midnight. They called many companies who didn't answer their office phones after 5. I answered the call and they asked if I could provide Health Technology around PPE. I said "YES". That day changed NTS.

2021 It was recommended I convert my little LLC to a Sub Corp S.

​Fast Forward to 2026 I have hired over 20 Navajo Employees and completed 100's of IT Network Projects, Hardware Refreshes and countless amount of IT sales. I have established  40+ partnerships with Major Manufacturers and Establishments.

We have been able to give back to the community by hosting local events and providing our services to many folks with no charge.

My work is not done. Growth, Scalability, and providing local opportunities for the Navajo Gen Z and Alphas is my vision.

Although it may seem, like NTS has made it, doing business on Navajo is not the most steady of economies. Just like many other businesses planning and adapting is important. 

​

We not only specialize in IT Reselling and Consulting, we now resell, Office Supplies, Cleaning Supplies, Utility Supplies and other items related to technology. 

​

I just don't hire employees, I really want to plant a seed in them that they can one day become business owners too.
